Worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. Took long for me to get helped initially, took long for me to get a table, took long for me to get a menu. My server was friendly when he actually got around, but once I received my sandwich, there was a broken toothpick inside of it (separate from the standard toothpick used to hold the sandwich together). The manager offered me a 10% discount, which I thought was way too low after all of the waits *and* the toothpick issue. Never going there again. Never.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed in my meal. I ordered the chicken piccata and didn't realize what a terrible dish it was. The chicken was bland, it was like eating a piece of cardboard. If I didn't know any better, I would think they microwaved it. The angel hair pasta had no sauce whatsoever. It was simply a heap of noodles next to a microwaved piece of chicken. The dessert delicious. A melt-in-your-mouth tiramisu. It was fantastic. The outdoor seating was enjoyable and mellow. Very relaxing. Our waiter Jason, was slow......dirt slow. He was terrible at refilling my water glass, forgot the bread, and wasn't a great listener (he asked about who gets the check for the appetizer when we CLEARLY told him beforehand) it also took FOREVER to get our bills. Guys, I'm just telling you straight up, tonight's meal wasn't that good. Take a chance if you want, I'm just telling you my experience.

This place sucks the steaks are awful prime rib is too. sent both back didn't have anything... Will never will go back And the prices are way to much. I can't believe they are open But it's grand blanc!!! People there think anything in G B is Great BUT ITS NOT!!!!

The filet mignon with Portobello was top notch. I'm picky with filet, but I'd say this is one of the best in Genesee County. The Demi glaze was also excellent. It was so good I forgot to take a picture. The tiramisu was the best I've had. The outdoor patio with live music was a great touch for a beautiful summer night... Best outdoor seating in the area. I do not recommend the mashed potatoes, they were the only thing I'd change.

Best service when we sat at the bar!! The bartender with the long blonde hair was amazing! The fish and chips were the best I've ever had. They also have a live musician and phenomenal drinks. Highly recommended place to eat/drink.

I went here yesterday as a part of 7. They had advertised on their message board that they'd be open Labor Day. We chose to sit on their very large patio. It was a nice day, so why not? There were already a few tables out there anyhow. It appeared that they may have only had 2 servers working when we arrived. There were at least 4-5 tables outside, and who knows how many on the inside. The server mentioned to us that they had cut a lot of their staff off of the floor thinking they'd be slow, but alas they were not. That was a bit surprising to me, as you normally don't cut the floor down before the lunch rush, but alas, I gave her a pass. They had quite a few options for food. Appetizers, pastas, burgers, salads, pizza, and a pretty extensive menu of dessert options. My husband and I split the portabello mushroom pizza, which was delicious. Two people at our table had errors with their order (wrong sandwich sent, no dressing with the salad, etc) We didn't get to try any dessert as our meal had taken a long time as it was, and we had somewhere we needed to be. I thought that this was in isolated incident as the waitress had mentioned the lack of staff on the holiday, but seeing the other Yelp reviews, I'm guessing that this place has a service issue overall. Hopefuly management sees these reviews and makes some changes- because the food was good.

This place has excellent food. My husband and I have been here at least 6 times and we've never been disappointed with the food. From the seafood to the steak to the ribs cooked to perfection. The only downside is that their carry out service is not the greatest. The first time we ordered carry out I sat at the bar without being helped for at least 5 minutes. My food wasn't ready when I arrived and then when I finally received my food I had to wait 10 minutes for them to take my credit card. Initially I chalked this up to them being busy but two days later we ordered from them again and had an equally unpleasant experience. The waiting was a similar problem but this time they topped it off with having given our order to someone else. I would definitively avoid this place for carryout but dining in is great!

Best dinner I've ever ate in my life. True story. If you're not near Grand Blanc, make the drive. It's worth it. New favorite restaurant, hands down. THEE best food I've ever had. I had Spanish coffee... Amazing. Appetizers we had were coconut shrimp and stuffed portobellos... Phenomenal. Dinner was the Italian Cannelloni for him and Chicken Picante for me. Both of us agree it was the the best meal we've ever ate. Fantastic restaurant! We are lifers now!!

This is one of my favorite restaurants. Good food, varied menu and reasonable prices. I would definitely recommend this establishment.

Went for Easter dinner with my family and usually for a holiday meal it is very good. But this one was the worst meal I have ever had there. Had the Tuscan beef tips marsala and it was bad, beef was tough and the dish had no flavor. ... Hard to believe they used marsala wine because you could not taste it. ..3 of us at the table ordered the dish and we all were disappointed. ... The only redeeming thing of the dinner was being with family. ..our waiter Chris is the best waiter there, we always request him. Briskstreet does do Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner very well. ...

Just had a lovely dinner here. I had the chicken Marsala. It was delicious and the serving was huge. I have enough for dinner tomorrow. My friend had the meat loaf special and he ate every bit! Our waiter was very attentive without being intrusive. The fireplace was nice and cozy and the Christmas decorations were exceptionally festive.

Perfect place to go to with your significant other. The prices are not too bad for a dinner night out. I prefer eating here during the summer time because of the patio. The inside is way too dim. I have heard several other people comment about how dim it is in there too. It's not too big of a deal though. Service is iffy. We have a waiter we prefer that provides excellent service for us. Anytime we don't have him as our waiter, the service seems weak.

We went to Brick Street as a party of ten, after just having honored my father at the nearby veteran's cemetery. I was pleased with the large menu, and was looking forward to a relaxing meal with friends and family. However, all ten of us were squeezed in at one round table by a waiter who was just barely friendly, hardly welcoming, and verged on rude from the start. He didn't do his job. He was snippy in answering questions. He forgot beverages that had been requested. He brought out food for everyone except one woman, who had to wait an extra three or four minutes for her (basic) sandwich. To top all this off, he repeatedly sneezed directly on his palm, rubbed his nose, and then went right back to handling plates. Disgusting. One other complaint - it was the middle of the day, but it was so dim, we could barely read the menus. Why have it so dark for a lunch crowd? The food was passable...not awful, but not as good as it could have been. We got four desserts to share, and again, I thought they were OK, but I wouldn't order any of them again. I don't live near Grand Blanc, so I don't have to visit there again, but based on this experience, I don't think I want to.

I am such a foodaholic. The thing I love about this place is that you can pull apart any meal from the menu and piece it back together with other menu items and create a sort of Frankenstein meal. So, make sure to bring the creative part of you! I've been there about 3 times now and each time the service has been excellent. The last time I went, it was beautiful out and my bf and I sat outside. Some tables were covered, giving the perfect amount of shade and sun. The choices are endless...Pastas (even stuffed lobster ravioli), pizzas, sandwiches, burgers, full bar. Even live music sometimes.

This place has a great atmosphere, especially for a "date" night. The server was as knowledgeable has I have had. The food was good but not spectacular. That said I would definitely return and give it another try.

My reservation was not honored and we were forced to sit at the bar and take a table in a banquet room that lacked any intimacy or ambiance. The table literally fell apart as we sat down. Very unprofessional handling of the entire affair. Food was average, pre-prepared-tasting. Billing errors. The staff began to "clear out" the room by cleaning up and clearing off tabletops, giving us a clear signal that they wanted us out of there. Absolutely no official apology from management for the reservation snafu.

Atmosphere is cool, intimate dining and excellent sports bar area. My main complaint is the food. They have a huge menu, but in my opinion they are hit or miss with some of the stuff on there. I ate a pasta, it was not very good and the noodles tasted sticky and not well prepared. My wife had fajitas. These were about the most pathetic fajitas I've ever seen. The plate was not hot like you would think a fajita plate would be. The cheese that came with it was like block cheddar cheese, not exactly authentic or restaurant quality. The steak was pretty much a regular steak with sides meant to to be tex mex, I could probably make something better at home.

Went here with my girlfriends family for fathers day and i must say mixed reactions. The negative was that they did take too long with service and the fact that they did burn my girlfriends mom fish (she did complain and got here meal free). Now i can only speak for myself, i loved there southwestern wings and fries (i would go there again just for that) and the chipolte pasta was average, nothing great about it. Overall I would go again, just a different entree selection this time.

I've eaten at Brick Street several times over the years. They have a huge menu and I have found the food is consistently good - my favorite is the Chicken Picatta. I went the other night with 2 other people. I think the atmosphere is lovely there, even though it is a bit dark inside. One of our group ordered the broiled whitefish and she said it was delicious (she only found one bone), and the other ordered a chicken dish over dirty rice that he said was wonderful. I had glazed salmon and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned - delish! The warm rolls were melt in your mouth yummy. This was the first time my two dinner companions had been there and they both want to come back! Everything was delicious. Our waiter was not terribly friendly, but he got the job done. Still one of my favorite places to go out for dinner.

First time customer this past weekend and will definitely return. The atmosphere and food was excellent! I can't wait to try the outdoor seating this summer. The only disappointing surprise was the restroom as it could definitely use a makeover to match the wonderful decor inside. I was surprised how hard the ladies restroom looked and was cared for. Waitstaff could also be a little friendlier or I would definitely say a five star.

  • Heidi H.

Don't go here with more than 3 people. The waitstaff is terrible. You either get someone slow or rude. I was with a party of 15 and it took at least 25 minutes to get our drinks, we weren't even eating at the time. Then, it took 30 minutes for me to get an iced tea. The food is ok, but way over priced for what it is.

Brick Street was nice looking and decorated fine but the nice stops there. The service was slow yet there were lots of people waiting on us. The food was salty I could only eat a few bites. I have had better meals in frozen TV dinners. I was going to feed it to our dogs but the waitress took our plates without asking if we were finished. The prices were high. Will not go back or recommend to friends

Been to Brick Street twice, once for an anniversary. Both times were pretty dissapointing. I ordered prime rib both times because I'm a creature of habit and both times the cuts came out on the cold side, VERY fatty even for a prime rib and just bleh. My wife ordered a seafood dish that came with rice and veg. The rice was overcooked to the point where the grains had bust and were becoming a gloop. Had it returned, came back about the same way. The first time we went was a little better but for the cost it was nothing amazing. Decor is nice but its getting a little worn in. All in all there are far better options in Grand Blanc.

Good food. Average prices. The atmosphere is pretty nice. There is a huge patio with nice chairs and tables. Great for eating out on warm summer nights! There is 3-4 entrees for vegetarians, which is rare in an american "grill" kind of restaurant. The veggie saute platter was really good. Our server was brand new, but still did an excellent job. Nothing super fancy, but it's a fun local bar/restaurant to hang out at.

Be ready to wait.......for everything. I went back a second time and sat at the bar. Much quicker service but food stil took a bit longer than you'd expect. nothing special to write about the food

I dined here as part of a rehearsal dinner group. Although we were in the fireplace room I checked out the decor enough to like what I saw. The restaurant was modern with stone accents. They had indoor and outdoor dining areas as well as live entertainment (Friday night) both inside and out. The keyboard player inside wasn't the best but the duo playing guitar outside were pretty good. The service was quick and efficient. I had the pecan crusted whitefish which had a nice accompanying sauce. It could have used more seer on the fish as it was a tad soggy. The salad was good but the dessert- some cheesecake/berry/cake combo was uninspired. Overall a good experience in a good atmosphere. I'd come back here again.

Had a great steak dinner. Steak was cooked less than my version of "medium" but kitchen was accommodating and grilled it a little more. Great desserts - had Creme Brulee. It was nicely presented, but inside was warm instead of cool like it should be. Tasted great though. Yum!

Went with a party and the birthday girl had some past beef with the server. It literally took an hour for the food to come out and then another hour to get the bill. The management was completely unresponsive. In all fairness this was eight years ago and I don't know if they've gotten new ownership. If you want to give this place a chance give them a call and find out how new the ownership is.

I don't really consider myself a food snob, but after living in Chicago for the past few years, it's hard for me to remember what a good small town restaurant is like. Brick Street seems like a pretty cool hangout spot with a nice bar area full of TVs. I went for a group dinner and had the grilled fillet. It was cooked just the way I ordered which is always a plus. Also, the cinnamon butter is delicious. Everything else was uninspiring. I don't drink coffee, but a lot of people raved how good it was. There is also an nice size outdoor area with a stage.

On our way up north we stopped in at Brick Street Bar and Grill and I had the Thai Lettuce Wraps. The menu description: Create your own Thai lettuce roll. Cumin chicken strips, carrots, bean sprouts, curry noodles and lettuce leaves with three delicious sauces, red chili soy, orange ginger and jalapeno sauce. They were delicious. I also had a Ceasar salad which was somewhat pricey for romaine lettuce leaves with Parmesan cheese. I'd definitely recommend getting the lettuce wraps. The only downside was that our server didn't come by after the food was dropped off to explain what I was eating.. as a previous server, I found that to be a major fail.

Today was the first time my wife and I visited Brick Street Bar & Grill. We thought the food was awesome, the decorations were elegant, the place had a warm and friendly atmosphere. We like to give special thanks to the Manager (who worked around 11:00AM) and our wonderful waiter Aidan C. Brick Street Bar & Grill is our new favorite restaurant!!!

Dinner on the patio with my husband and 3 young kids. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The ribs were delicious. 2 kids had the flatbread and loved it! And even being off the kids menu the 2 boys (5 and 7) could have shared one flatbread, as they were huge!

We had a reservation for 14 people to celebrate my aunt and uncle's 25th wedding anniversary. When making the reservation we requested 2 servers based on a previous experience here, but they refused... Needless to say the service was awful. I had to ask for drinks at least twice before being were served. It took 30 minutes between the first and last person receiving their meal. We brought a cake and the server didn't even hand out new silverware and stood by watching while I handed it out. The food was mediocre at best. My medium filet was more well done, the steamed veggies were mush, and the mashed potatoes were dry and cold. As for the restaurant itself we were freezing the entire time, so they gave us a tiny electric heater. You had to stand inches from it to feel any heat. Meanwhile, just up 2 steps was a gas fireplace with no guests around that would have accommodated our group. Poor planning by these people all around. Stay away.

Great place to meet with friends for lunch or dinner. We have had many good experiences here over the years. Love the setting next to the fireplaces and the patio is awesome in the summer.

Ordered two butterball steaks, asked med and med well.. Somebody clearly forgot about the meat on the grill because both were very well done, I make a better steak at home. Mashed potatoes were okay but a small portion. Hot bacon salad is good but not hot?.... Won't be back.

Very disappointed 15 minutes to get a glass of wine . I 've been here 45 minutes and still waiting for food service .very slow .waiting to see what the quality of the food will be and how soon I might be served. About an hour to get my food the food is fine but service is very poor .asked for bread took forever. Probably won't come back.

We are traveling and decided to find a local place to eat. Awesome patio, dark seating inside making it hard to read the menus, poor beer selection, mediocre service. the menu does have a lot to offer. Fish & Chips are a must....delicious! the rest of our table got the Bourbon Onion Chicken sandwich which was ok but not served on the pretzel bun as stated in the menu due to them "going bad" according to our server(told us after we got our food). I would try somewhere new if I am ever in the area again

I love this place for so many reasons. The atmosphere and extra care by the staff made this the perfect place for my dad's wedding reception. I've organized staff luncheons for the outdoor patio the last 2 summers summers. They have excellent service, and I highly recommend the Lobster Bricks, my favorite dish there.

I'm always happy with the service here but never happy with the food. Every time the meat items are dry and everything is over-salted. Salads have been ok so if I have to attend another event here I'd opt for one of those. That said, the staff is fairly friendly and the place is nicely decorated. Still, it's a place we only visit when with a group.

Not a good experience! The place was not busy on a Sunday evening, but somehow our waiter could not find the time to come by our table. I tried to order a draft beer, but apparently the taps were not working. Dinner started with rolls, which were identical to the ones that my wife buys at Costco. The entree's were uninspired with WAY too much salt. There wasn't much about this meal that would bring me back.

We had a party of eleven, celebrating a birthday with two gluten free children. After waiting a hour for our meals, the food came out with buns. We sent it back after marking the patties and the food returned after being taken off the bun. We asked the chef if he could honor gluten free for two childrren with celiac disease and we were presented with contaminated food. The manager was very friendly but the wait time and tricky practices that could have landed these kids in the hospital was unacceptable. We were excited for a great meal and left feeling disappointed on every level. We went to redwood lodge and enjoyed excellent service of every level.

I actually went here for the first time on Friday for a work sponsored luncheon, and came back the next night for dinner with my girlfriend! The menu seems to be about 9 pages long! Everything made in the kitchen is from scratch, so you can get anything just the way you want it. The pub has quite a few large televisions and would be a great place to spend a Sunday watching the Lions get beat. The wait staff was very polite and attentive, the atmosphere is great, and the food is wonderful. You can't ask for too much more than that! Oh, and there was a very talented piano player there last Saturday night playing some really good music!

I went here with my family for dinner in April 2009. Had the salmon with mashed sweet potatoes. Robbie was our server - he was very knowledgeable and gave us great service. This is upscale for my usual dining habits, so it was a real treat. Nothing to complain about.

Love this place. In Genesee County this is one of the best places. Atmosphere, service, food and price are all great. My recommendation is the Thai Chicken Pasta Rocks.
